Pastels Nightclub Brooklyn Miniature Model
Who remembers Pastels Nightclub in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn?
For many Brooklynites, Pastels was much more than a nightclub. It was a place to meet friends, dance, dress up, celebrate, and make memories that lasted long after the music stopped.
Now, Major Minis has recreated this legendary piece of Brooklyn nightlife as a handcrafted miniature model.
Remembering Pastels Nightclub in Brooklyn
Pastels was located at 437 88th Street near Fourth Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
Before Pastels, the location was home to another famous Brooklyn nightclub called The Penthouse. Then, after The Penthouse closed, the club reopened as Pastels in 1983.
Soon afterward, Pastels became one of Bay Ridge’s best-known nightlife destinations.
Throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s, people came from around Brooklyn and beyond for a night out at Pastels. In fact, the music, dancing, fashion, friends, and unmistakable atmosphere made it a place people still talk about today.
Eventually, Pastels closed in 1997, ending an unforgettable chapter of Brooklyn nightlife.
A Piece of 1980s Brooklyn History
For many people, Pastels represented a special era in Brooklyn.
Back then, a night out meant packed dance floors, late nights, great music, and meeting your friends in Bay Ridge.
Even today, just hearing the name Pastels can bring those memories right back.
Perhaps you danced there.
Or maybe you met someone special there.
For others, Pastels was where Saturday nights were spent with the same group of friends week after week.
Because those memories still mean so much, I wanted to recreate the club in miniature.
The Pastels Miniature by Major Minis
I carefully recreated the recognizable Pastels entrance as a miniature display model. Most importantly, I wanted to capture the look and character that so many Brooklynites still remember.
As a result, this miniature was created especially for people who remember Pastels and want to preserve a small piece of that history.
You can display it on a shelf, desk, bar, or memorabilia collection. Additionally, it can become part of a Brooklyn-themed holiday village.
It also makes a unique nostalgic gift for someone who grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, danced at Pastels, or remembers Brooklyn nightlife during the 1980s and 1990s.
