Giuseppina’s Brick Oven Pizza opened in 2011 by Chris Locano. Back then his brother Mark Lacono would make pies with him side by side using the family’s recipe. Mark’s name may sound familiar to you as he is the owner of iconic Lucali’s in Carroll Gardens. A few nights a week Chris would make pies at Lucali’s as well. So you know the pedigree of this pizza is amazing.
Other notable achievements are the high Dave Portnoy rating and Giuseppina’s Thrillist’s rating among the 21 Best Pizza Restaurants in Brooklyn.
It was a fun challenge to capture the spirit of Giuseppina’s in this miniature. After designing the 3D rendering and getting approval. I chose premium materials to manufacture the parts. As I was carefully assembling the first one, I was thinking about how happy it will make Phil and his family.
